Dr Kevin Chao, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Y. Chao is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and other rare skin tumors.
Dr. Chao earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA on a full-ride merit-based scholarship. He completed his dermatology residency training at the University of California San Diego, followed by a rigorous ACGME- and ACMS-accredited Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with additional training in plastic surgery techniques. Dr. Chao has published and presented his research in multiple journals and national conferences and is an invited speaker on skin cancer and reconstructive surgery topics.
In addition to dermatologic surgery, he has expertise in cosmetic procedures includes scar revision, cosmetic mole removal, soft tissue fillers, neuromodulators, and lasers and energy-based devices.
In his free time, Dr. Chao enjoys tennis, cycling, cars, and exploring the local coffee scene.
